WILDERNESS
THE WILDERNESS is a symbolic meditation on the feeling of being stuck and hopeless in life. At some point almost everyone experiences a moment where they feel "stuck." We wake up and wonder "How did I get here?!" and feel like there is little hope in changing the situation. This film uses the motif of snow and ice as a symbolic picture of the struggle to find direction, and the creeping feeling of being stuck or frozen in place. A man wanders through a snowy and icy expanse as we hear him struggle to come to terms with his surroundings.
