Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and mission-focused Instructional Designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to design, develop, and deliver high-quality educational resources that support our ministry objectives. Your expertise in adult learning principles, curriculum development, and instructional technology will help us create engaging, effective learning experiences for a global audience, ensuring that our content is aligned with both the Christian faith and best practices in instructional design.

Specific Responsibilities
- Collaborate with ministry leaders, content experts, and multimedia teams to develop innovative educational materials, including online courses, training modules, and multimedia resources.
- Analyze instructional needs and define learning objectives based on the ministry's goals and target audience requirements.
- Design and develop engaging learning experiences using instructional methodologies such as ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, or other industry-standard frameworks.
- Utilize instructional technologies (e.g., e-learning platforms, authoring tools, learning management systems) to create interactive, multimedia-based educational resources.
- Develop assessments, quizzes, and activities to measure learning outcomes and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
- Review and revise learning content based on feedback and performance data to continually improve effectiveness and learner engagement.
- Ensure that all educational content reflects Christian values and is consistent with the mission and theology of CV.
- Stay current on instructional design trends, learning technologies, and best practices, integrating new ideas into the ministry's training and educational programs.
- Train staff and volunteers, both in the North America office and our global counterpart offices, on the use of learning platforms and tools, providing ongoing support as needed.
- Assist with special projects, workshops, or events that require instructional expertise to support ministry objectives.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum
- Development, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, preferably within a Christian or nonprofit organization.
- Follower of Jesus Christ, demonstrating a high level of spiritual maturity and a deep passion for Christian ministry.
- Proficiency with e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, etc.) and learning management systems (LMS).
- Strong understanding of instructional theories, adult learning principles, and curriculum development methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and accessible learning content.
- Familiarity with multimedia development (audio, video, graphics) for instructional purposes.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- A passion for Christian ministry and a commitment to sharing the gospel through innovative learning solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and integrate feedback constructively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
